Makhana had been sitting on the sidelines this whole time. Written off as something you eat while fasting, or something that lives in your grandmother’s steel tin. Meanwhile the rest of the world’s out here calling it a superfood and we’re still stanning imported chips like it’s 2015.
So we picked it up and gave it the glow-up it deserved. Some attitude it never had before. Packaging that doesn’t look like it’s trying to convince you of something. No health claims, no lecture, no “trust us, it’s good for you.” Just a snack that earns its spot in your hand without needing a disclaimer.

NoGilt is an Indian makhana brand built on a simple idea: the snack our grandmothers roasted in ghee never needed replacing — it just needed someone to give it the flavour and the packet it always deserved. Four bold flavours, one ancient seed, zero guilt.
Makhana — fox nuts, or lotus seeds — are harvested from the ponds of Bihar, then roasted until they puff into something impossibly light. They have been a fixture of Indian kitchens and fasting plates for generations, long before anyone thought to call them a superfood. Naturally gluten-free, naturally crunchy, and quietly brilliant.
Most snacks ask you to choose between what tastes good and what treats you well. We were never willing to make that trade. So we started with a seed that was already good for you and spent our time on the part everyone else skips — the flavour. Roasted, never fried. Bold, never boring.
